What’s new in RealityScan 2.0
RealityScan 2.0 introduces critical updates from AI-assisted masking to alignment improvements, visual quality inspection, and support for airborne laser scans.
AI masking
Automatically remove backgrounds with a trained segmentation model—no need to manually mask, rename, or reimport images. RealityScan interprets your object and separates it from the scene, streamlining your workflow from raw photos to reconstruction-ready data.
Smarter alignment
Say goodbye to broken components. New default settings improve image alignment, especially on surfaces with minimal features. You get better model consistency with fewer manual interventions.
Aerial LiDAR support
RealityScan now supports aerial LiDAR data. Now you can combine aerial imagery, aerial LiDAR, and terrestrial data to generate precise orthographic projections, maps, and 3D models, improving the accuracy of your mapping and surveying tasks. Perfect for simulation, mapping, or VFX environments where real-world fidelity matters.
Quality analysis
RealityScan now shows you where your scan may be incomplete. Using visual heatmaps, you can pinpoint areas that need more data before moving to the meshing stage—or check the quality of your mesh for further texture and PBR improvements. If parts of your model lack coverage, you’ll know before wasting time on cleanup or rework.
